Comment: I've seen the forums and followed the instructions for using fdisk to remove the Disk Manager signature from the MBR ( fdisk/cmbr 1 ) in order to get rid of the "Error 91: Disk Manager detected on disk %u but it's not running..." that is associated with trying to run Drive Image 2002 on Win XP. I've HAD it running before (about a year ago), but lost one of the CD-Rs that had my drive image on it, so I had to do a fresh install and now I'd like to image it again. In spite of following the above instructions, I still get the dreaded Error 91 when trying to use Drive Image to image my primary partition on my master harddrive (the one with XP installed on it). Does anyone know what I need to do to get past the Error 91? Like I said, I KNOW it can be done on my system, I've done it before. But it's been so long, I've honestly forgotten how. Is it that I'm not really getting rid of the Disk Manager signature on the MBR? Is there another (better way)? The idea of using a Win 98 Boot Disk to get to use fdisk on a Win XP system didn't seem right to me, but another forum says a Win2000 user says he did just that and it worked. What am I missing? Thank you to all who help. CrasH spiritflame3@hotmail.com

Reply: (edit)I have the same bug and I did the same thing you did with the Fdisk /mbr jazz no luck either. I cannot help you but maybe the following info could help you or others narrow down the problem. I have a Dell 8250 system XP sp1, 2.4 / 500 with 2 physical drive of 60 and 160 gigs. I ran Drive Image from a: c: d: f: same problem I think it worked before I installed my second drive the 160g but I never had to use the image file. Could not find much info on the Net except the /mbr. Fooling around with the boot record I lost drive c: I managed to recover with the Emergency Startup diskets Bootcfg utilities. Good luck
