Reply: You have to know MySQL if you have a MySQL database. But you should know some SQL since you will eventually use it. There is no set questions, since data mining is to determine relationships among different factors. What percentage of males who use a Discover card to buy flowers on Valentines day will buy a green shirt for St. Patricks day. Data mining is a 'black' art.

Reply: Dear AKA, if you are lanching u r carrer in data mining, the best way is to start with open source project [to study], you can find more n more open source projects from www.sourceforge.net it includes mysql, standard SQL, tsql etc. Saurabh S. Pandya
