Hi , I’m new to MySQL.

I have a new task in my job in witch I’m requested to make a research about 'Data Mining'.

Well I had read some about it, and it is very interesting.

My questions are:
1) How much do I have to know about MySQL ?
2) What are the most common commands for Data Mining (data phishing).
3) Do you know where I can find an example of ‘Data Mining

Any kind of response is very appreciated!

You have to know MySQL if you have a MySQL database. But you should know some SQL since you will eventually use it.
There is no set questions, since data mining is to determine relationships among different factors. What percentage of males who use a Discover card to buy flowers on Valentines day will buy a green shirt for St. Patricks day. Data mining is a 'black' art.

Ok wizard-fred, I understand, but do you know where to find more information about it ?

I'm already on MySQL and had instaled it... but need some clever clues.

Thanks

Data mining is usually done by searching existing databases and connecting them to find possible relationships.
